In his new project, along with bassist Alexander Efimov and drummer Vladimir Beger, Yegor Zabelov continues to reveal the creative possibilities – his own, as a composer and performer and his instrument, playing which he produce amazing things beyond the usual accordion music.
Music of the Trio can be described as an experimental mix of accordion rock, avant-garde jazz and neo-classical music. Zabelov himself finds influences in his compositions in minimalist classics: Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman and also Arvo Part, Finnish experimental accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and jazz trio Esbjorn Svensson Trio.
At the end of 2016, the Trio plans to release their debut album.
